Increased social payments for disabilities in Astrakhan

Russia – The Acting Governor of the Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin has announced that social payments for families with children with disabilities will be increased, the press service of the regional government reports. Compensation for expenses associated with inpatient treatment of a disabled child will be doubled. Compensation payments for families with children with disabilities for the purchase of certain types of drugs and individual medical devices will  also more than double.

After the implementation of a new  bill, compensation for expenses associated with inpatient treatment of a disabled child in  the Astrakhan region of Russia  will amount to 7 thousand rubles (previously 3.5 thousand rubles. Compensation of expenses for children with disabilities who are being treated in a clinic outside the region lasting from 14 to 30 days was increased from 5 to 10 thousand rubles, but if the inpatient treatment period for a disabled child is more than 1 month, then his family will receive compensation in the amount of 15 thousand rubles (previously 7 thousand rubles).

According to local media , the estimated date of entry into force of the law on increasing social benefits is September 1, 2019. The necessary funds for this have already been included in the regional budget.
