One thousand new disability parking spaces will appear in Moscow soon

Moscow, Russia – This year, more than 950 parking spaces for people with disabilities will be equipped in Moscow, the mayor’s office and the government of the capital said. About 15% of parking spaces are already equipped. They are set up  where they are  needed most. Spaces where parking spaces are needed are determined with the participation of people with disabilities themselves.

Work  for the set up  of parking spaces for people with disabilities will be carried out by the Center for Traffic Management together with the foundation “I Help People with Disabilities”. They are situated at places where the need is most pressing , including near socially significant facilities.

“In total this year more than 950 parking spaces for people with limited mobility will be buil, 94 of which are located close to such socially important sites as hospitals, clinics, medical centers, churches, public services centers and others,” said the deputy head of the Directorate “Center for the Organization of Road Traffic” Sergey Nazarov.
