India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a dedicated online portal for Candidates with Special Needs (CWSN) to access facilities and exemptions during the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams in 2024.

The portal, made available on January 19, allows CBSE schools to upload necessary documents and provide details for CWSN candidates from January 19 to January 24, 2024, using their login credentials on the Pariksha Sangam portal.

Schools are mandated to update the status of CWSN candidates on both the Pariksha Sangam portal and the official website parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in. The portal displays a comprehensive list of CWSN students enrolled in each school, along with specific facilities permitted based on their respective disabilities.

Once logged in, schools can view the facilities available for each student category and, as per the notice, students opting for specific facilities must indicate their preference. This information will be included on the students’ admit cards, providing transparency and ensuring appropriate arrangements by the center superintendent.

This initiative follows the CBSE’s 2023 launch of a similar portal for CWSN students, responding to their annual requests for accommodations during exams. The CBSE urges CWSN students to communicate their specific requirements through their schools, emphasizing the importance of utilizing this opportunity for a smoother examination experience. The board has also released the official timetable for Classes 10 and 12 exams, scheduled to take place between February 15 and April 2, 2024.
