Cabello captures gold in the men’s C4 1000m time trial after producing a world record to beat Britain’s Jody Cundy.

USA defeat Brazil in goalball
The US team, silver medallists at Rio, beat Brazil by 8-6.

China’s GUO beats her own world record
GUO Lingling has won gold in the women’s -41kg with a world record lift of 108kg.

Spain beat Canada 78-41 in men’s wheelchair basketball
Spain beat Canada in a sensational victory 78-41 in their opening match in men’s wheelchair basketball at the Ariake Arena.

Jordan’s Omar Qarada wins first powerlifting gold
Omar Qarada and Vietnamese world record holder Ie van Cong both lift 173kg, but its Qarada who won the gold medal as he weighs a tenth of a kilogram less than his opponent. Check out the full story below:

Two more athletes test positive for COVID-19 at Paralympic Village
Two more athletes have tested positive for COVID-19 at Paralympic Village, new figures have revealed. The total number of coronavirus cases at the residential complex to 13, including five athletes.

Netherlands’s Larissa Klaasen wins gold in women’s B 1000m
Larissa Klaassen of the Netherlands, piloted by Imke Brommer, wins gold in the women’s B 1000m time trial with an impressive time of 1:05.291.  Britain’s 3-time Paralympic champion Aileen McGlynn, with pilot Helen Scott, wins silver, and Griet Hoet takes bronze.
