Morocco’s cabinet approved Draft Decree No. 2.25.265 on April 3, setting the minimum amounts for disability and old-age pensions provided by the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas announced, as reported by Hespress.

The decree, presented by Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah, fulfills commitments outlined in the April 30, 2022 agreement between the government and major unions as part of ongoing social dialogue efforts. It allows insured individuals with at least 1,320 days of contributions to qualify for an old-age pension, Baitas told reporters following the Council meeting.

He added that the measure is in line with Law No. 18.96, which establishes a minimum pension threshold.
