Are you concerned about your memory or worried that someone you know may have dementia? Dementia Australia is offering support in Castlemaine on Wednesday 26 August.

It is estimated there are 113,900 people living with dementia in Victoria. Without a medical breakthrough this number is expected to increase to more than 216,400 people living with dementia by 2054.

The Dementia Australia sessions are an opportunity for people living with dementia, their carers, family, and friends to attend free education to better understand dementia and to discuss the support and services Dementia Australia can provide. Please note, bookings are essential.

The event will run from 10am to 4pm and will include engaging talks from Dementia Australia, Mount Alexander Shire Council, Dhelkaya Health, The Rights Information and Advocacy Centre, Bendigo Health Memory Clinic, Dementia Support Australia, Mount Alexander Shire Disability Advocacy Group and more, plus an expo showcasing local service providers.

This event is part of a national initiative to bring people living with dementia, their families, and carers together-especially in regional areas-to reduce isolation and strengthen local support.
