World Para Athletics and Ottobock have partnered to launch Ottobock Get Together – a new series of monthly Facebook Live sessions – hosted by eight-time Paralympic medallist Heinrich Popow.

The series takes a closer look at Para athletics from the life and experiences of the world’s best athletes. The first edition will be all about prosthetic legs.

Popow will be joined by Germany’s Paralympic and world champion Johannes Floors and Switzerland’s Sofia Gonzalez, who won the Young Para Athlete of the Year award in her country for her performance at the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships.

Ottobock technician Julian Napp is the other guest in the first edition sharing his experience of four Paralympic Games working at the Ottobock Technical Repair Centre, helping athletes repair and maintain their prostheses, orthoses and wheelchairs.

“I am really excited about Ottobock Get Together. I think this is an amazing initiative from Ottobock and World Para Athletics that will give me and some of the world’s greatest Para athletes the chance to share our experiences from literally our first steps with a prosthetics to the Paralympics,” Popow said.

Ottobock Get Together will premiere on Thursday (25 June) at 8:00PM (CEST) on World Para Athletics Facebook page.
