Expressions of interest are now open for membership of the Premier’s Disability Advisory Council, seeking two new members to champion the rights and interests of people with disabilities in Government decision making.

Established in 2007, the Council consists of 11 community members who play a key role in monitoring the implementation of Accessible Island: Tasmania’s Disability Framework for Action 2018-2021 and the development of new iterations.

The Council provides a crucial link between Tasmanians with disabilities and the Tasmanian Government, with members providing advice on a wide range of access and inclusion issues across the State Government.

If you are a person with disability, a carer, family member or someone with a demonstrated interest in disability issues, we encourage you to go online, view the information, and apply.

Further Information is available at communities.tas.gov.au, by contacting the Department of Communities Tasmania on 03 6165 8364, or by email at disability@communities.tas.gov.au

The closing date for expressions of interest is 10 April 2022.
