Nurse learns sign language to communicate with COVID patient

Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Priyanka Shukla posted to Twitter about Swati Bhimagaj, a nurse who went above and beyond her role.

Upon learning that one of her patients had a hearing disability, Bhumagaj quickly learned sign language to communicate with this patient admitted in one of Chattisgarh’s COVID hospitals.

The patient expressed his joy that the nurse went that extra step to communicate with him, making sure she understood what he was trying to say and being able to respond appropriately.
