Following a survey of 2,000 adults, which found that 41 per cent have a disability with no physical signs, Heathrow Express joined the Sunflower lanyard scheme to recognise and boost hidden disability support.

Heathrow Express is supporting all customers – including those with hidden disabilities. The rail company now offers the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower to anyone with a hidden disability to help us do that.

The rail company employees have been trained to assist customers with hidden disabilities who may need assistance – and wearing the Sunflower lanyard indicates to them that you may need additional support, help, or a little more time.

Passengers travelling on Heathrow Express services can now request a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard when travelling with us, ask a Heathrow Express or Heathrow colleague who will be happy to help.

Living with invisible disabilities makes everyday activities hard and can affect people in different ways – often, they can be painful, exhausting, and isolating.

This is why Heathrow Express and Heathrow Airport recognise the Sunflower and offer tailored support levels to customers who need it most.
