Tijuana to create Business and Employment Center for people with disabilities

The City Council will have the first Business and Employment Center for People with Disabilities to provide advice and training to carry out a work activity.

“The main objective of this center is the labor inclusion of people with disabilities, taking part in work projects, through the creation of an area that efficiently links persons with disabilities with employment and advising them to start their own business. ”, said Arturo Pérez Behr, Secretary of Economic Development in Tijuana, Mexico.

The center will have training rooms, administrative offices, common areas, reception, and integration area coordinated with local companies.

In his speech, Eduardo López Ruíz, social activist, thanked the municipal government for promoting public policies that promote labor inclusion of persons with disabilities and promote equality and job opportunities.

The project is promoted by the Tijuana Economic Development Secretariat (Sedeti), through the Tijuana Fund Trust, in coordination with the Municipal DIF System (SDIF) and the National Chamber of the Housing Development and Promotion Industry (Canadevi).
