Training people with disabilities through free virtual workshops in Peru

In the framework of the health emergency due to the coronavirus epidemic, the National Council for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (CONADIS), carries out a free virtual training through the “Workshop to enhance your employability”, with the purpose of generating knowledge and practical tools to enhance labor skills according to current market trends.

To date, more than 200 people with disabilities have participated since July 30, it consists of 4 free courses on “How to successfully face a virtual interview”, “Everything you need to know about your curriculum vitae”, and“ The most valued labor competencies.

The development of the workshop is in charge of Yasmin Alvarado Aguilar, Coaching and specialist in talent management and development who shared tips, recommendations and experiences to successfully face a virtual interview; preparing a curriculum vitae, a personal interview and the job search.

Víctor Hugo Vargas Chavarri the director of Promotion and Social Development of Conadis,  points out that the initiative seeks to provide the necessary knowledge on new trends in employability.

The execution of these events are part a program that promotes decent employment and good practices for labor inclusion in order to improve the quality of life with equal opportunities for this sector of the population.
