Promoting the labor inclusion of people with visual and hearing disabilities during COVID-19

Several Guatemalan entrepreneurs with visual and hearing disabilities offer their products or services during the Coronavirus COVID-19.

The Program of Labor Inclusion and Entrepreneurship of the Worthy Committee for the Blind and Deaf of Guatemala promotes the labor inclusion and economic independence of people with disabilities so that they have a decent life, as is their right.

Due to the COVID-19, people with visual and hearing disabilities have stopped receiving economic income, so they have dedicated themselves to costume jewelry, confectionery or the production of soaps or lotions.

The Committee for the Blind and Deaf shared with Guatemala.com: We urge Guatemalans with good hearts to unite in solidarity to support young entrepreneurs with visual or hearing disabilities, who have been affected by the crisis caused by COVID-19.

If you want to contact these entrepreneurs, you can do so through the telephone numbers 5610-6232 and 5015-7789 or on the official Facebook page of the Benemérito Comite Pro Ciegos y Sordos.
