The ‘José María Artero’ Central Library is intended to be an accessible space for people with disabilities,” for which the Almería City Council awarded today the contract for the supply of specific furniture with an investment of just over 5,000 euros.

With this, the Almería City Council intends to continue making progress in “achieving a real and effective inclusion” and the provision and adaptation of public spaces to people with disabilities, in this case with a Library, “which is an example of inclusion and standardized environment.”

Added to the already existing elements in terms of accessibility, the contract awarded today includes the acquisition of five portable, ergonomic, height and dimension adjustable desktop stands (narrow for writing and thick for reading); a light table for cognitive stimulation and table materials for children between four and 6 years old; sheets, blocks and transparent letters, a tabletop magnifying glass.
