Mayor Walther Marcolini together with the Councilor Pablo Longo, from the APID, have launched the AppDi, an Augmentative, Educational and Playful Communication software developed by the Municipal Agency of Science and Technology.

The software facilitates the learning of people with multiple disabilities, by using a conventional mouse, or a virtual mouse connected to a web camera to capture the movement of the face and the different facial gestures.

It is ideal for APID kids to discover and learn to work with AppDi during the coronavirus pandemic.

AppDi uses pictograms, it is entirely free and can install on desktop computers, cell phones, and tablets, through the “Publications” tab on the Municipality’s page, there are the different download versions.

The AppDi application is available to be downloaded from the Municipality’s website: www.alvearmendoza.gob.ar All those interested can contact and leave their comments and suggestions at cienciaytecno@alvearmendoza.gob.ar.
