Sony showcases “Accessibility for All” innovations at CSUN 2026

Sony Electronics highlighted its inclusive design initiatives at the 41st California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Assistive Technology Conference, March 9-13, 2026.

The company is participating in the conference, held from March 10 through March 13 in Anaheim, California, USA, where it is showcasing a range of products and initiatives aimed at advancing accessibility for persons with disabilities.

Sony demonstrated several innovations developed with direct input from persons with disabiltiies. The company said this collaborative approach allows real-world feedback to shape product development, helping create more accessible experiences for users and content creators regardless of ability.

Among the highlights was a lineup of BRAVIA televisions featuring enhanced screen-reader capabilities, along with Alpha cameras equipped with tactile markers designed to assist photographers with low vision.

Sony also highlighted its “people-centric” design philosophy through specialized retail displays that incorporate braille and audio descriptions. The displays aim to ensure that the in-store shopping experience is accessible to a wider range of customers.
