The King Salman Centre for Disability Research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, remotely organised a two-day training course, entitled “Learning Disabilities and the role of General Education Teachers in Providing Student Services”.

The course’s components included identifying learning difficulties, assessing and diagnosing cases, identifying the needs of students with learning disabilities and associated teaching strategies.

The course targeted teachers and special education teachers, general education specialists and students of colleges and universities in various related specialisations, as well as general supervisors and educational supervisors in educational departments.

Dr. Ola Muhyiddin Abu Sukkar, Executive Director and Director of Research and Training at the King Salman Centre praised the effective and distinguished cooperation between the organisation and the center in providing high quality programmes for all segments of society and in meeting the needs of families of people of disabilities throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.

“The distinguished joint cooperation with the King Salman Center for Disability Research enriches the field of care and rehabilitation of people of determination in both nations, given their specialised employees in the field, which will result in increased advantages to our sons and daughters of determination and their families.” said Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination
