Apple’s latest short film, ‘The Relay’, showcases the abilities of athletes with and without disabilities competing in a relay race. Directed by Derek Cianfrance, the film features eight athletes, split between persons with disabilities and those without, competing head-to-head in various events.

The film was released ahead of next week’s 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. ‘The Relay’ aims to bring attention to the often-overlooked world of adaptive sports, reinforcing the message that all athletes share the same motivations and require equal dedication to compete.

The film highlights various accessibility features integrated into Apple products, such as the Workout app tailored for wheelchair users and the Magnifier + Point and Speak function on iPhones, which aids users with vision disabilities.

The film’s message highlights that all athletes are the same, driven by the same motivations and needing to put in equal effort to prepare for competition.

You can view the film on Apple’s website.
