Have your say on the Disability Act review

Young Downs Syndrome Man Sitting On Sofa Using Laptop At Home

Following public consultations earlier this year about the next state disability plan and some initial consultation about the Act, further consultations are now open for the Disability Act Review and you are invited to have your say.

The Disability Act 2006 provides important rights and protections for people with disability and covers a range of areas including promoting inclusion, community visitors, forensic disability services, and the frameworks for restrictive practices and compulsory treatment.

We all have an important role to play in helping shape Victoria’s future disability inclusion agenda and role in service delivery in the NDIS environment.  Have your say and help build a safer, fairer, and more inclusive Victoria.

The consultation paper is available in a variety of formats including Auslan, e-text, audio, easy read, and braille. The consultation period runs from 21 September 2021 to 20 October 2021.
