The Arc of California and the Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare launched a new 24-hour support helpline to help persons with developmental disabilities and those who care for them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The telehealth helpline is free and available anytime for people with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and other support team members across the nation.
Project Connect, a telehealth support helpline, developed by Arc of California and the Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare.
The Project Connect support helpline is staffed by students in the School of Social Welfare and supervised by licensed social workers. Students are able to offer a wide range of support services, including counseling, wellness checks, depression screening, and referral to community services.
