Blind charity in Zagreb opens liquid soap production plant

Blind people reading Braille.

The Zagreb Association of the Blind opened a liquid soap production plant on September 29, planning to market the new product under the brand name “Dodir prirode (A Touch of Nature).

The production of soap bars with Braille labels on packaging launched five years ago through the association’s own social enterprise Sfera Vision with the donations and the City of Zagreb, which provided a production plant.

Liquid soap will be available at the Zagreb Association of the Blind’s offices and online by the end of the year

“All raw materials for liquid and solid soap production are completely natural, without synthetic dyes, fragrances, and detergents. She said that the production technology and all the equipment are adapted for people who are blind or have low vision.” said Barbara Sajinovic, the head of production, who is visually impaired.

The association’s “soaps with dots” have received a World Golden Contribution Award from the United Nations and the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) to promote innovation and sustainable development and reduce inequality.
