The authorities of the Republic of Khakassia considered changes to the program “Accessible Environment”, providing for the inclusion of children with disabilities in the active life, the online edition Khakassia reported. The project will be financed from the federal budget.

Persons with disabilities need to gain social experience and reduce their sense of isolation from society. The essence of the proposed changes in providing the opportunity to travel outside those settlements where children with disabilities live, ”said the head of Khakassia, Valentin Konovalov.

In 2020, the authorities of Khakassia planned to provide families with children with disabilities with free tickets for concerts, subscriptions to museums, galleries, and cultural parks. The list also plans to include theaters, cinemas, circuses and zoos.

More often cultural events take place in Abakan. Children from other municipalities need to get to the capital of Khakassia somehow, so we have worked out proposals for organizing transportation of children with disabilities and their accompanying people to the venue of mass events, ”said Irina Akhmetova, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Khakassia.
