A special taxi service for people with disabilities set up in Yekaterinburg

The company Yandex Taxi  has launched a special fare for passengers with disabilities in Yekaterinburg, the press service of the company reports. The “special” tariff is for specially prepared spacious cars for wheelchair users and  accompanying persons. In the future, the plan is to launch the “Special” tariff in other cities of Russia where Yandex Taxi operates. The cars for this service are specially equipped for the transportation of people with disabilities and their attendants.

Drivers of  cars with the “Special” fare undergo additional training and know how to work with passengers in wheelchair. They help passengers with disabilities boarding and disembarking.

According to the government press service , information about new taxi cars and the possibility of ordering them will be posted in health facilities.  A car at the Special tariff in Yekaterinburg can be ordered by phone and for the time being the payment is  only in cash.
