Sharjah, UAE: Sharjah Airport Authority’s Support Services Department coordinated with AirArabia to organize a tour for 16 members of the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired in order to familiarize them with aircrafts’ safety and security procedures.

This tour is one of many initiatives made by Sharjah Airport Authority to assist people who are blind or have low vision to overcome challenges when they travel by air, and to involve these people more in the social everyday activities, as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

During the training session, a number of senior AirArabia staff provided a detailed and practical explanation of the emergency safety and security procedures that are followed on aircraft to protect passengers and crew, to ensure the safety of the flight and to maintain the aircraft arrival schedule. The people on the tour appreciated the session.
