Disability Legislations and Policies
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) –Ratified on May 13, 2009. It has also ratified the Optional Protocol to the CRPD. Mongolia’s CRPD State Party reports submitted to the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights (OHCHR).
The Law on Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities, 2016 – The Parliament of Mongolia adopted a new law on the Rights of Disabled people on 5th February 2016.
Sustainable Development Goals – The SDGs have been translated into a concept note titled ‘Mongolian Sustainable Development Vision 2030’. The note states that equal opportunity to people with disabilities will be provided in terms of labour and social services. www.un-page.org
