Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) – Ratified on September 25, 2009. It has not ratified the Optional Protocol to the CRPD. Laos’ CRPD State Party reports submitted to the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights (OHCHR).
Decree on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities – Drafted in 2008, the Lao Government finally signed the decree on the rights of persons with disabilities in 2014. The decree has mention on rights, accessibility, education, employment and healthcare among other provisions. The decree can be read in Lao along with an unofficial English translation – www.ilo.org
