
FC Barcelona has joined the celebration of the CAFE Action Week (Center for Access to Football in Europe), with a series of actions that have been carried out at the Camp Nou during the League match that Barca played this Saturday against Real Sociedad.
The objective of the events organized by different European clubs in this weekend’s games is to raise awareness about the problem of accessibility to football and the need to facilitate access to the stadiums to all those people with mobility disabilities who want attend a football match.
The main action of the Camp Nou has been the photography taken by the players of the FC Barcelona team after jumping to the pitch, surrounded by young members and behind the poster supporting the CAFE Week.
Jochen Kemmer, Project Manager of the Center for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE), an advisory body associated with UEFA, has been invited to the match and has been able to verify the work done by FC Barcelona on accessibility and observe the different actions of support for the ‘CAFE Action Week’, which they have carried out to raise awareness of the problem of accessibility to football. Jochen Kemmer has been received by Emili Rousaud, Barça’s institutional vice president and head of the Club’s Specialized Attention Office, with whom he has commented on the actions carried out and a photograph has been taken in the President Suñol box at Camp Nou.
