Morocco expands support programs for persons with disabilities

Morocco’s Solidarity Ministry has allocated 396 million Dirhams (36.6 million dollars) to support children with disabilities.

During a session in the House of Councillors, Minister Naima Ben Yahya announced that 27,50 children will benefit from a new program, which is part of a wider initiative. This program also includes support for 19,000 individuals through medical and technical assistance, as well as targeted support for 1,000 project leaders, with a total allocation of 53.5 million dirhams (5 million dollars).

In addition, the minister noted that other initiatives have been launched to improve the living conditions of persons with disabilities, according to Morocco World News.
