Disability Services Minister Don Punch is encouraging people interested in joining the Ministerial Advisory Council on Disability to submit a nomination this month.

The Council was established to represent people with disability, their families and carers in Western Australia, to provide advice to the Disability Services Minister about issues affecting the community.

A key focus of the Council’s work over the coming term is to promote and drive the delivery of the Western Australian Government’s A Western Australia for Everyone: State Disability Strategy 2020-2030 and provide advice on the Disability Royal Commission recommendations.

Applications are sought from people with disability, family members, carers and people with knowledge of, and experience in disability. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

Applications close at 5pm, 23 September 2024. For further information about the Council and the nomination process, go to WA.gov.au/organisation/department-of-communities/ministerial-advisory-council-disability.
