Volunteers needed to make beaches accessible

Woman pushing beach wheelchair

Holdfast Bay Council is calling for volunteers to help make their beaches more accessible for everyone. The council is committed to ensuring that people of all abilities can enjoy the beautiful beaches of Holdfast Bay.

Construction of the DDA-compliant (Disability Discrimination Act) ramp just north of Glenelg Jetty will begin soon.

This is an important step in making Glenelg Beach accessible to the community, and Council is now seeking volunteers to help realise the dream.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the council for more information wellbeing@holdfast.sa.gov.au
