Grants to benefit carers and support their wellbeing

Senior people spends time together

The Victorian Government recognises how important carers are, not only to the people they care for – the people whose lives they improve every day – but to the whole community.

This Carers Week, the Government is delivering more than $2.6 million to support carers to reconnect when it’s safe to do so through activities like morning teas, bushwalks and virtual cooking classes, as well as supporting one another through community forums and information sessions.

Supporting Carers Locally Grants Program 2021-22 – Round 2

Fifty-six organisations will receive grants totalling $1.75 million through the Supporting Carers Locally Grants Program.

This will provide opportunities for carers to be physically and mentally healthy and connect with family, friends, other carers and their local community – whether through accessible peer support, grassroots community support programs or tailored resources.

Additionally, five organisations will share in $917,000 through the Statewide Partnership Grants Program, which will support partnerships between carer organisations and other community support organisations to deliver innovative projects that benefit carers across the state.
