Disability advocate and Paralympian Karni Liddell says she was kicked off a ride at Dreamworld and was forced to leave her three-year-old son behind.
Ms Liddell, 41, uses a wheelchair, was left in tears and forced to wait beside the Donkey Flyer merry-go-round after being told she was too much of a risk by a staff member, reports 9News.
“The guy came over and said you can’t be on this ride; where is your certificate?” she said on an Instagram video.
“I thought he was joking.”
Ms Liddell said she tried to “hold it together” for her three-year-old son during the altercation with the supervisor.
“He hasn’t got a disability, but he has to pretty much live with a disability because his mum constantly has to fight to do everything,” said Liddell.
After being ordered off, she was told she would need a certificate from the first aid office before going on any others.
A Dreamworld spokesperson said the park had “a specific procedure in place for any guests presenting to attractions with any injury or using a mobility device”.
