Virtual festival promotes inclusion of people with disabilities in Peru

The virtual festival promoted by Pixed, to be held from October 12, seeks to generate a space for reflection and dialogue that promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities in our society.

Since its inception, Pixed, the social enterprise that is dedicated to the research and development of upper limb prostheses and thanks to 3D technology can offer these devices 70% cheaper compared to the current market, has worked for the inclusion of people with disabilities is increasing in society. Raising awareness has been achieved through various events, talks and psychological help to a large number of people.

This year, the project led by the piurano engineer Ricardo Rodríguez Torres, has called -on the doors of the National Day of Persons with Disabilities. the public and institutions to participate in the Inclusfest; a virtual festival that seeks to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities and show different initiatives at the national level that fight every day to make Peru a more inclusive country.

The Inclusfest, which will take place from October 12 to 23, seeks to strengthen inclusion through talks, discussions and other activities. “The festival will give a tour and explanation of the barriers (personal, family and social), all from the point of view of different expert exhibitors on issues of inclusion and disability,” they advance. The Peruvian Society of Down Syndrome, Capable, Without Brakes, Bent but not broken and athletes such as Pedro Pablo de Vinatea have joined the Avento.
