As of last week, the National Bank exempts people with disabilities from using a mask, who have physical, cognitive, psychosocial or motor limitations that cannot themselves remove and put on the mask, as well as those who have difficulty understanding and abide by the protocols regarding the use of masks.
The institution indicated that, when the disability is not evident, they will request an exception probative document on the use of a mask, namely: medical opinion, epicrisis or certification of the disability, which establishes their condition.
The exception also applies to children under 3 years of age. The person in charge or the parent is responsible for ensuring the health protection of the minor.
Although people with disabilities can enter banking facilities without a mask in these exceptional situations, it is important that they, or people who support them, consider avoiding these visits as preventive measures for the risk of contagion by Covid-19.
In all cases, people with disabilities and children must wash their hands or disinfect them with alcohol gel when entering the Bank’s facilities and comply with the social distancing of 1.8 meters between people.
The Ministry of Health insists to this population avoiding going out to the maximum. The authorities recommend that all people use digital tools to carry out their transactions before going to the bank offices.
