Social services call center launched in Russia

A regional social services call center has launched for older people and persons with disabilities in Novosibirsk, Russia, the Ministry of Labor, and Social Development of the Novosibirsk Region reports .

The call center is one of the program activities of the regional project “Older Generation” of the national project “Demography.”

The project is interdepartmental, specialists from the social sectors, medical organizations, and local authorities are involved in forming a long-term care system.

The Call Center accumulates all requests, advises the residents of the region on the provision of social services, analyzes the information received and coordinates all project participants’ work.

The phone worked in test mode for a month. Among the appeals are called from older adults and their relatives to provide nursing services, notifications from medical and social workers about identifying citizens in need of additional help.

The call center phone number is 8-800-201-53-88. The call for residents of the Novosibirsk region is free.
