How to process your disability certificate in Paraguay

The disability certificate is an official document that certifies the legal status of a person with a disability, who is granted a specific degree of disability. To determine the degree of disability, the limitations of the person and complementary social factors such as the family environment, the work, educational and cultural situation, which hinder their social inclusion, are assessed.

The user who requests the Certificate of Disability must meet the following requirements:
1) Registered as a user in SENADIS, permanently or as a benefit by the Admission department.
2) If you are not registered as a SENADIS user, go through the Admission Department first and present a copy of your identity card. (Up to 20 numbers are delivered per day for attention, in order of arrival, from 07:00 am.)
3) Approach the Directorate for the Assessment of Disability – National Registry, in order to request, initiate and obtain the Certificate of Disability.
4) Take shifts and be evaluated by the Multidisciplinary Team of Professionals for the Evaluation and Quantification of Disability. (The patient will be evaluated according to the type of disability he has such as: Hearing, Sensory, Visual, Physical, Mental, Intellectual, and Phonation Disability).
5) If you are a registered user exclusively to request disability certificates, these must bring the originals and / or photocopies of the medical, psychological, laboratory studies, qualifiers or any type of documentation, which is considered relevant for the assessment of disability .
6) The term of delivery of the Certificates is 15 to 20 days once the consultations and evaluations have been completed by the Multidisciplinary Team of Professionals of the Directorate of Disability Assessment.
