PARA-Crimea 2020 festival will be held in Evpatoria

The PARA-Crimea 2020 festival will be held in Evpatoria, Russia, from September 3 to September 10, 2020. This year, over 400 athletes from 58 regions of Russia will take part in the event.

Participants of the PARA-Crimea 2020 festival will compete in five sports disciplines: darts, athletics (distances of 100 and 400 meters), table tennis, powerlifting, and swimming.

In addition to the competitive part, the program provides for various masterclasses (onboard sports games, para diving, freediving, sailing, stand up paddleboarding, windsurfing, rock climbing, archery, and pneumatic weaponry (SKAT electric installation), wheelchair control) and leisure activities.

The festival is held to assist in the rehabilitation and involvement of people with disabilities in physical education, sports, and an active lifestyle, as well as promote the Republic of Crimea’s capabilities in the development of sports and rehabilitation of people with disabilities.

The organizers of the festival are all-Russian public organizations – the All-Russian Society of Disabled People (VOI) and the Russian Sports Union of Disabled People (RSSI), with support from the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Labor of Russia.
