Social taxi service resumes in Russia

The multidisciplinary social center “Assistance” resumes the provision of social taxi services to Astrakhan residents with disabilities, the press service of the Ministry of Social Development and Labor of the Astrakhan Region reports.

The service will be provided free of charge.

Astrakhan’s social taxi service is provided to people with disabilities with I and II degree of restriction of labor activity (including blind people and people in wheelchairs and crutches), and their accompanying persons.

A social taxi will operate in the territory of Astrakhan and the suburbs. A taxi will pick up the client from home, deliver it to the right place and back. If necessary, the car will wait for the customer within 1 hour. You can order a social taxi in Astrakhan by calling 8 (8512) 37-20-35 on weekdays from 8:00 to 17:00.

“Social taxis are convenient cars equipped with special equipment for lifting and transporting a wheelchair. You can use a social cab for free,” the Ministry of Social Development and Labor of the Astrakhan Region noted.
