After being approved in the Senate’s second debate, the bill “The use of the Braille System in the packaging of food, medical and tourist services, and public places,” is adopted in the House of Representatives.

“A greater inclusion of people with vision disabilities will be achieved, which will allow awareness, participation, equality, employability, and social welfare for all.” said Luis Fernando Gómez, representative to the chamber for Caldas and speaker of this project in the sixth and plenary committee.

The proposal is based on creating and conditioning environments, and services more conducive to people with visual disabilities, who will be able to access information and communication, making their participation more equal, as well as addressing inaccessibility to tourist spaces.

The process has the support of the National Institute for the Blind – INCI to guarantee the relevance and compliance with the rights of blind people.
