Bangkok hosts International Conference on Disability and Diversity

The International Conference on Disability and Diversity (ICDD) officially opened in Bangkok, Thailand on January 19-20, 2026.

The two-day event brings together global experts to discuss accessibility, developmental disabilities, public health and disability, education, human rights, mental health, and independent living.

The Conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Disability and Diversity. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Disability and Diversity.

The conference highlights the role of Hidden Disabilities in public health planning and aims to establish new benchmarks for educational justice. Organizers emphasized that sustainable futures are only possible when wellness and aging for persons with disabilities are prioritized in urban development and public policy.
