World Para Dance Sport launches 2022 Online Competition

After the success of the first two editions in 2021, the World Para Dance Sport Online Challenge is back! Athletes from all over the world will have the chance to compete in more than 10 different categories from 10 April to 20 May.

“As we had competitions cancelled, we wanted to start the season encouraging people to get back on their dancing shoes and enjoy this opportunity”, Camila Rodrigues, World Para Dance Sport Manager, said. “This competition is a warm-up, before the season kicks off in Poland in June.”

Participants will submit videos with their performances to be judged by a panel of international adjudicators in reference to the scoring provisions set out in the World Para Dance Sport Rules and Regulations.

The 2022 Online Competition is open to athletes in 11 categories, divide in three groups according to their entries:

  • Group 1’s entries will be opened from Sunday, 10 April to Saturday, 30 April. It is composed by the following three categories: Duo Freestyle Classes 1 and 2, New; Combi Standard Classes 1 and 2, New; and Women’s single Conventional Classes 1 and 2, New
  • Group 2’s entries will be opened from Wednesday, 20 April to Tuesday, 10 May. It is composed by the following four categories: Duo Standard Classes 1 and 2, New; Combi Freestyle Classes 1 and 2, New; Men’s Single Conventional Classes 1 and 2, New; and Junior boys and girls, Classes 1 and 2, New
  • Group 3’s entries will be opened from Saturday, 30 April to Friday, 20 May. It is composed by the following four categories: Duo Latin Classes 1 and 2, New; Combi Latin Classes 1 and 2, New; Women’s Single Freestyle Classes 1 and 2, New; and Men’s Single Freestyle Classes 1 and 2, New

Results will be published on the World Para Dance Sport website and social media channels after 10 June.
