UN Disability Rights Committee to review France and Djibouti

The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) will review France and Djibouti during its latest session from August 16 – September 17.

The two countries are among the 184 States parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. They are required to undergo regular reviews by the Committee of 18 independent international experts on how they are implementing the Convention and the Committee’s previous recommendations.

The CRPD, which has received the respective country reports as well as submissions from non-governmental organizations, will discuss a range of issues with the two State delegations through online public dialogues on the following dates:

France dialogue: 18, 20, 23 August from 12:30 to 14:30 Geneva time

Djibouti dialogue: 27 August from 12:00 to 14:30
30 August and 1 September from 12:30 to 15:00 Geneva time
