Two men have been arrested for robbing a person with a disability and posting the video on social networks.

The Catalan police reported that one of the attackers violently beat the man with a cognitive and mobility disability and stole his money.

The two men, aged 34 and 21, of Spanish nationality and residents of Palafrugell, were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of robbery with violence and discovery and disclosure of secrets.

The events took place on the afternoon of June 20th when the victim went to get money from an ATM, at which point a person he knew stopped in front of him driving a van. The driver got out of the van and beat him violently until he knocked him to the ground, where he continued kicking him, before the other thief stole his money.

The police stated that a video of the attack and the attackers making fun of the victim had been posted on a well-known social network.

The subsequent investigation by the agents of the La Bisbal police station (Girona) made it possible to identify and arrest the perpetrators. The detainees, who have criminal records, were brought to justice on the 22nd and were released with charges.
