Agreement to support employment for persons with disabilities in Spain

The Ibercaja Foundation and DFA Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to give financial support to the Placement Agency’s employment service and the app ‘dfaemplea’ the first mobile application for job search aimed at people with disabilities.

The objective is to promote the employment of people with disabilities, as explained in a press release. Regarding the management and maintenance of the DFA Foundation Placement Agency’s service, authorized by the Aragonese Employment Institute (INAEM), it has negotiated the hiring of more than 9,000 people.

The app has two sections, one for users to access job and training and another for companies with hiring information.

The president of the DFA Foundation, Marta Valencia, stressed that employment “is essential to develop a life of full independence” and highlighted the fact that this year 447 people have found a job, “despite the difficulties caused by the passing numerous companies due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19 “.

The general director of Fundación Ibercaja, José Luis Rodrigo, has referred to the work and effectiveness of the Placement Agency and has indicated that one of its “priority” lines of work of his entity “is the development of people” and in this sense favoring the incorporation into the labor world of those with disabilities “is the best way to facilitate their integration into society in a total and normalized way.

They have explained that business prospecting is one of the priority objectives of the Placement Agency. In the companies’ case, we work from personalized and individualized attention, responding to their needs and the demands that arise in hiring. Throughout the year, 385 companies have been contacted.
