Grant program to support Victoria’s volunteers

Volunteering Victoria, with funding from the Australian Government, is now offering a Supplementary Grants program to support Victoria’s volunteers.

Grants of between $1000 and $5000 are available for organisations that have volunteers make up at least 40% of their workforce.

To be eligible, organisations must also be not-for-profit and applications will be prioritized for groups that provide support to vulnerable people, or that involve vulnerable people as volunteers.

Activities that will be supported through this program also include programs for post COVID-19 re-engagement of volunteers, and adaptation of practices to support volunteers’ safety.

The grant can also be used to buy small equipment items, to reimburse volunteers transport costs for volunteers living with a disability, reimburse fuel costs for volunteers using their own vehicle when undertaking volunteer work and volunteer training.

Applications for the grant close on Sunday 20 September.
