The entity established date and time so that the population with some type of disabled can be vaccinated against influenza. The Social Security Fund (CSS) will carry out from Tuesday, May 5 of this year, a vaccination day aimed at people with some type of disability.
Through this plan, the entity seeks to offer an alternative for this population to be immunized against influenza, avoiding the agglomeration of people and the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).
The national director of Customer Relationships, Mariejane Waugh, reported that from Tuesday 5 to Friday, May 8, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, the process of “express vaccination” will be carried out in the parking lot located in the Niko’s Café building in the El Dorado shopping center.
The CSS encourages the population to meet the criteria for going out of home, implemented by the authorities, such as Tuesdays and Thursdays for men; Wednesday and Friday for ladies, by their respective ID numbers and schedule time.
Waugh clarified that in the event that the person must be accompanied, they can go in the previously established period from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
“Given the case that a person has problems with their (reduced) mobility, the nursing staff will come to the car and proceed with the vaccine,” he said.
With this plan, the CSS hopes to provide vaccination to people who have some type of disability and, as the rainy season arrives, they may be affected by colds or flu-related illnesses that put their health at risk due to the situation of the Covid-19.
