Legal assistance hotline launched for parents of children with autism in Russia

The Center for Social Rehabilitation, Training and Creativity for People with Autism has opened a hotline “Anton is nearby” Legal Aid to Parents  for legal assistance to parents of children with autism, the center’s Facebook page reported . 

Parents of children with autism spectrum disorders can contact the center’s lawyer for the following questions:

  • Legal assistance in making the correct diagnosis (included in the list of autism);
  • Re-qualification of an existing diagnosis in an administrative / judicial procedure with the aim of granting the rights and guarantees provided by applicable law for persons with autism;
  • Documentary support in the bureau of medical and social expertise;
  • Appeal of decisions of territorial PMPKs to the central PMPK, if necessary, representing the interests of the child on these commissions (changing the version of the educational program for the child, unjustified coercion to transfer him to home schooling, assigning him tutorial support);
  • Contesting decisions of state bodies in administrative and, if necessary, judicial procedure;
  • Escort in conflict matters with various authorities;
  • Issues related to legal capacity / incapacity;
  • Legal assistance on other issues related to providing access to services in the field of education, medical care, health restoration, preparation for work, improvement of housing conditions, etc.

Parents of children with autism can send their inquiries to a lawyer to legal@outfundspb.ru. All services of a lawyer are free.
