First Abilimpix championship in Russia for people with mental disabilities

The Abilimpix championship for people with mental disabilities will take at the Republican Centre for Social and Labour Adaptation and Career Guidance  in Makhachkala, according to the organisers’s Facebook page. The report notes that Dagestan will become the first region of Russia to host the “Special Abilimpix”.

Abilimpix for people with mental disabilities will be held as part of the regional championship of professional excellence among people with disabilities. The organiser of the event is the Republican Youth Employment Centre “Success” of the Ministry of Labour of Dagestan.

“Special Abilimpix” will include 5 competencies: Sewing, Shoe repairs, Joinery, Culinary excellence, Arts and crafts

The competition organisers note that people with mental  disabilities rarely take part in such championships.  The press service of the Republican youth employment centre “Success” also notes that Dagestan will be the first region of Russia to host the “Special Abilimpix”.
