Moscow hosts an inclusive bicycle marathon

On September 12, an inclusive bicycle marathon was held in the Terletsky forest park (Terletsky Dubrava recreation area), event organisers reported. Children and adolescents under the age of 18 with motor disabilities, their parents, brothers and sisters took part in it.

The programme included: professional photo studio; concert program with artists with disabilities; meetings with interesting personalities, creative workshops; cognitive quiz with a prize draw; asphalt drawing contest and inclusive bike ride on special bicycles.

The marathon was  organised by the Grossko Children’s Centre for Physical Rehabilitation and Sports. The “Inclusive Bicycle Marathon” is just the beginning of the large socially significant project “Development Area“.
