UAE telecommunications companies Etisalat and du have announced special half-price mobile and internet packages for people of disabilities.

The discounted rates are for all packages, including internet, mobile data, TV, telephone and video calling.

The discounts apply to people of disabilities living in the UAE.

The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced the special rates on Twitter last week.

In 2018, the UAE TRA instructed telecommunications companies to offer free video calls for people of determination, coinciding with Arab deaf week.
